Platelet-rich fibrin has shown regenerative potential in other areas of dentistry. It is possible that PRF could help promote revitalization of teeth with these types of cases.

La necrosis pulpar en dientes inmaduros es una patología con alta frecuencia en niños y adolescentes, generalmente asociada a trauma o una caries dental que compromete la funcionalidad del diente y su longevidad en boca. El protocolo comúnmente manejado es el tratamiento convencional de conducto. Recientemente se han introducido terapias regenerativas que devuelven la vitalidad pero con materiales de alto costo. La fibrina rica en plaquetas (PRF) ha mostrado potencial regenerativo en otras áreas de la odontología.
