Este trabajo investigativo tiene como objetividad analizar el significado que tiene la Inteligencia Emocional en los jóvenes universitarios del municipio de Chinchiná ya que éste ha sido catalogado, desde hace años atrás, como uno de los municipios más violentos a nivel nacional, reconocido por micro tráfico, por feminicidios que constantemente están saliendo en primera plana de noticias y periódicos locales, por antecedentes de drogadicción que han afectado a la niñez y a la juventud y un sin fin de situaciones que cotidianamente retumban en los oídos de las nuevas generaciones.
