description	An exhaustive bibliographic review was carried out in order to determine the effect of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in the cellular repair of corneal opacities. Currently, this alteration represents a therapeutic challenge for the restoration of transparency and conventional treatments do not always allow a rapid and complete resolution of the condition, which is why the need arises to search for new and efficient therapeutic alternatives. Methodology: bibliographic review in databases: PubMed, Medline, Scopus, Scielo, Acces Medicine, Mc Graw-Hill, using a snowball search strategy from 2000 to 2020. The variables analyzed were recovery time, application rates and adverse effects. The articles were classified and analyzed using the CASPe tool. Results: an analysis was performed by different groups of affectation (ulcers, unspecified wound healing (NE), degenerations, erosions). Conclusions: it is determined that PRP is an effective and safe treatment for cellular repair of corneal opacities.

Se realizó una revisión bibliográfica exhaustiva con el objetivo de determinar el efecto del plasma rico en plaquetas (PRP) en la reparación celular de las opacidades corneales. Actualmente esta alteración representa un reto terapéutico para la restauración de la transparencia y los tratamientos convencionales, no siempre permiten una resolución rápida y completa de la afección, razón por la cual surge la necesidad de buscar alternativas terapéuticas nuevas y eficientes. Metodología: revisión bibliográfica en bases de datos: PubMed, Medline, Scopus, Scielo, Acces Medicine, Mc Graw-Hill, empleando una estrategia de búsqueda de bola de nieve desde el año 2000 hasta el año 2020. Las variables analizadas fueron tiempo de recuperación, dosis de aplicación y efectos adversos. La clasificación y análisis de los artículos se realizó por medio de la herramienta CASPe. Resultados: se realizó un análisis por diferentes grupos de afectación (úlceras, cicatrización de heridas no especificada (NE), degeneraciones, erosiones). Conclusiones: se determina que el PRP es un tratamiento eficaz y seguro para la reparación celular de las opacidades corneales.
