EMG recordings were obtained with a repetition of chewing with pink wax, taking first the right masseter followed by the left masseter. Initially, the type of distribution of the electromyographic data was verified using the ShapiroWilks test, the distribution is acceptably normal for all variables except the minimum electrical activity value. The SPSS 26.0 program was used and the significance level was set at p = 0.05.

Los voluntarios se clasificaron mediante medidas esqueléticas en tres grupos: Normoclusión (Clase I), distoclusión (Clase II) y mesoclusión (Clase III). Los registros EMG se obtuvieron con una repetición en masticación con cera rosada tomando primero el masetero derecho seguido del masetero izquierdo. Inicialmente se verificó el tipo de distribución de los datos electromiográficos mediante la prueba de ShapiroWilks, la distribución es aceptablemente normal para todas las variables excepto el valor de actividad eléctrica mínima.
