In recent years and in the recent advances in tissue engineering, a way has been registered for pulp therapy that allows us the complete pulp regeneration of mature teeth, in which advantage is taken of the differentiation capacity of residual pulp stem cells. These cells are capable of generating a highly vascularized living tissue rich in connective tissue, which colonizes the available pulp space. However, until the completion of this review, no method has been reported in the literature as viable for clinical application in humans. |

En la actualidad la endodoncia convencional es un procedimiento que presenta variedad de efectos secundarios a futuro, por eso se desarrollan terapias de regeneración y/o revascularización pulpar, que normalmente se realizan en dientes permanentes inmaduros con el fin de generar tratamientos más conservadores. En los últimos años y en los avances recientes en la ingeniería de tejidos se ha registrado un camino para la terapia pulpar lo cual permite la regeneración pulpar completa de los dientes maduros, en la cual se toma ventaja de la capacidad de diferenciación de las células madre pulpares residuales. Estas células son capaces de generar un tejido vivo altamente vascularizado y rico en tejido conjuntivo, el cual coloniza el espacio pulpar disponible. Sin embargo y hasta la realización de esta revisión de la literatura, ningún método se ha reportado como viable para su aplicación clínica en humanos.
