Summary:In Colombia there is a lack of knowledge about the Parental Alienation Syndrome, known as SAP; despite the fact that it affects thousands of children and adolescents in the world in their emotional, psychological and social development; In addition, it destroys the fundamental basis of the life of every human being, which is love and parental relationships and that at present has not been given sufficient importance at the legislative level, leaving the operators of justice and their healthy criticism to be the that they resolve on the subject.Therefore, this research allows to know what has been the management, the area of approach and the sphere of protection; that the high courts of the country have given the cases that have been presented of the Parental Alienation Syndrome; in addition to the guarantees of compliance with the orders issued in said rulings and from there to demonstrate that the SAP is a worldwide recognized problem and that in Colombia it has not yet been given the importance it deserves; thus leaving the superior fundamental rights of children and adolescents unprotected and bringing with them gaps that generate challenges for the high court’s when making a decision in SAP cases.
