El presente trabajo describe las etapas del diseño de la iluminación de la cancha de fútbol ubicado en el Barrio Divino Niño de la ciudad de Cúcuta, Norte de Santander, aplicando las últimas tendencias de alumbrado público para campos deportivos que se están desarrollando en el país como lo es la tecnología tipo LED, la cual demanda que estos diseños sean realizados por personal calificado y la aplicación del RETILAP, donde los equipos empleados en el sistema de la iluminación cumplan con los requisitos técnicos mínimos y que las luminarias tipo LED empleadas en el proyecto estén con fotometrías certificadas. El diseño se distribuye en dos aspectos principales que son: El diseño y cálculo del sistema de iluminación con tecnología LED. El diseño y cálculo de la infraestructura para del sistema de iluminación con tecnología LED. Finalmente se realizó la evaluación de los aspectos técnicos, económicos, ambientales, tecnológicos y sociales del proyecto y su impacto en la convivencia de los ciudadanos que hacen uso de esta unidad deportiva.
