Shigella spp, Campylobacter spp and Clostridium spp, but despite this they are not on the
SIVIGILA list and, therefore, the pertinent measures are not taken for the prevention of said
diseases transmitted by them |

El objetivo de este trabajo fue realizar una revisión sobre los principales enteropatógenos con potencial zoonótico en felinos clínicamente sanos y sus implicaciones en la salud pública a nivel nacional e internacional. A raíz de la exhaustiva búsqueda de literatura acerca del tema y teniendo en cuenta el reporte de la Subdirección de vigilancia y control en salud pública (SIVIGILA), se constató que los principales enteropatógenos zoonóticos en los gatos son la Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp, Shigella spp, Campylobacter spp, Clostridium spp, pero a pesar de ello no se encuentran en el listado del SIVIGILA y, por lo tanto, no se toman las medidas pertinentes para la prevención de dichas enfermedades transmitidas por los mismos.
