Este proyecto se desarrolló para cubrir el déficit de equipamiento de educación para personas con discapacidad intelectual en el casco urbano del municipio de Ibagué – Tolima, del mismo modo se decidió desarrollar el proyecto en este territorio debido que presenta una alta población con dicha discapacidad, pero con una oferta académica baja.
