excluded from the review. According to the results of the investigation, it was determined that in
Colombia the works published on the subject in particular are quite scarce since in the period
studied only (4%) of the total corresponds to national production, while (96%) corresponds to
foreign production. It was also found that the countries with the highest scientific production
related to the (DPM) are: the United States, which accounts for (21%) of the total, followed by
Italy, (17%), Spain, (9%), Brazil (8%) and Poland, Russia, Serbia, Iran, Israel, Finland and
Romania with (4%) respectively. Most studies agree that (DPM) in broilers produces serious
economic losses for the poultry industry and that its appearance is associated with rapid growth,
intensive production or selection of broilers and genetic progress. |

El objetivo de este estudio fue realizar una revisión bibliográfica sobre La Miopatía Pectoral Profunda (DPM) o enfermedad del músculo verde para ampliar el conocimiento que se tiene de esta patología en nuestro país durante el periodo 2015-2021. Se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en revistas de difusión científica como, Poultry Science entre otras, que se encuentran en bases de datos como, Ebsco, Science direct, Jstor, Dialnet. Se encontraron un total de 28 artículos publicados y 19 artículos que fueron excluidos de la revisión. Según los resultados que arrojó la investigación se determinó que en Colombia los trabajos publicados sobre el tema en particular son bastante escasos ya que en el periodo estudiado solo el (4%) del total corresponde a la producción nacional, mientras que (96%) corresponde a la producción extranjera. Se hallo así mismo que los países de mayor producción científica relacionada con la (DPM) son: Estados Unidos, que cuenta con el (21%) del total, seguido de Italia, (17%), España, (9%), Brasil (8%) y Polonia, Rusia, Serbia, Irán, Israel, Finlandia y Rumania con un (4%) respectivamente. La mayoría de trabajos coinciden en que la (DPM) en pollos de engorde produce graves pérdidas económicas para la industria aviar y en que su aparición está asociada con el rápido crecimiento, la producción o selección intensiva de pollos de engorde y el progreso genético.
