El artículo presenta la experiencia metodológica realizada con el Ayuntamiento de Autlán de Navarro, cuyo planteamiento global osciló desde la construcción de un proyecto de vinculación y compromiso social, con los procesos e instrumentación del Plan de Desarrollo Urbano de Autlán de la Grana, Jalisco; hasta la integración de políticas y criterios de ordenamiento urbano orientados a la sustentabilidad.
