As a result, the article aims towards a meditation about the role of theory during the design conception; both as primary source to elaborate an architectural critic, and as a reliable instrument to pass judgment on the aesthetic contribution of buildings up to now mistakenly called unidentified flying objects. |

As a result, the article aims towards a meditation about the role of theory during the design conception; both as primary source to elaborate an architectural critic, and as a reliable instrument to pass judgment on the aesthetic contribution of buildings up to now mistakenly called unidentified flying objects. Sin la espectacularidad que caracteriza a los proyectos construidos en otras partes del mundo a partir del denominado posmodernismo, durante el mismo lapso de tiempo, en las grandes ciudades colombianas se ha gestado un cambio sutil en el lenguaje arquitectónico que, a diferencia de sus progenitores, parece reticente a cualquier catalogación a pesar de evidenciar la influencia de distintas tendencias internacionales, debido principalmente a la ausencia de un discurso teórico por parte de los proyectistas.
