El presente artículo se pregunta por el dilema de la segunda mitad del siglo XX para el escritor latinoamericano, y para ello retoma a un escritor emblemático, Pablo Neruda. En particular, aborda la cuestión del arte comprometido, una categoría simbólica para el análisis de la obra de Neruda.
