for. In the construction of new materials written with the objective of educating in health and

motivational strategy for oral health education, through an evaluation by experts. Materials and

En Colombia, la prevalencia de enfermedades orales es bastante alta, llegando a creerse que todas las personas han presentado experiencia de enfermedades en algún momento de su vida. Los niños registran altas cifras de enfermedades a nivel oral, esto debido a que sus prácticas de higiene oral son bastante deficientes. Según investigaciones la alta prevalencia e incidencia de enfermedades puede ser prevenida. La educación en salud oral es considerada como uno de los pilares de la odontología preventiva, la cual se da por medio de varias estrategias, entre ellas, las cartillas educativas son folletos informativos que incluyen los contenidos mínimos, de una forma clara, concisa y gráfica del tema tratado. La validez explora en qué grado un instrumento mide lo que debería medir, es decir aquello para lo que ha sido diseñado. En la construcción de nuevos materiales escritos con el objetivo de educar en salud y elaborados por profesionales de la salud, es necesario que sean examinados para maximizar su efectividad, es por eso que la validación de contenido es importante para los investigadores y profesionales de la salud preocupados en utilizar cada vez más instrumentos confiables y apropiados para determinada población. Objetivo: Efectuar la validación de la cartilla “Camaleón Sonriente Cuida Tus Dientes”, como estrategia motivacional de educación en salud oral, por medio de una evaluación por expertos. Materiales y Métodos: El presente estudio epidemiológico de tipo descriptivo, tuvo como fin realizar la validación de la estrategia educativa “CAMALEÓN SONRIENTE CUIDA TUS DIENTES”, la cual se utiliza como una herramienta de motivación en salud oral para niños, empleando para ello un instrumento de recolección de datos (Cuestionario) en donde se evaluaron diferentes categorías (suficiencia, claridad, coherencia, relevancia y diseño), de cada una de las dimensiones.
