| description | The Arhuaca indigenous community located in the department

Marta, shows its territory with a high sense of belonging,
seeking to teach and provide knowledge, and the conservation
of its cosmology and traditions. The way to see the world of the
Iku indigenous reservation (Arhuaca), is to visualize their lands
as the most precious, understood in a holistic way. Despite its
own characteristics, at present, a series of conflicts with
traditions, language, architecture, beliefs, religion, etc. have
been generated. It should be mentioned that the above as a
product of globalization and the advancement of technologies,
which generate influence and intervene in indigenous
communities in general. In this project research, an EthnicCultural equipment is proposed for the indigenous reservation
of Iku, through an architectural element, whose design relates the interpretation of the worldview; according to the
investigations carried out in the participatory rural work of the
place of study. The collection of information was fundamental
for the development of the equipment since different questions
and a series of possible answers to them arose thanks to this,
either through flexible spaces that allow the community to
appropriate community spaces or certain buildings designed
with a productive end. |

La comunidad indígena Arhuaca ubicada en el departamento de Magdalena, en las estribaciones de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, muestra con alto sentido de pertenencia su territorio, buscando enseñar y brindar conocimiento, y la conservación de su cosmología y tradiciones. La manera de ver el mundo del resguardo indígena Iku (Arhuaca), es visualizando sus tierras como lo más preciado, entendida de una manera holística. A pesar de sus características propias, en la actualidad, se han generado una serie de conflictos con las tradiciones, idioma, arquitectura, creencias, religión etc. Hay que mencionar que lo anterior como producto de la globalización y el avance de las tecnologías, las cuales generan influencia e intervienen en las comunidades indígenas en general. En esta investigación proyectual, se plantea un equipamiento Étnico - Cultural para el resguardo indígena de Iku, a través de un elemento arquitectónico, cuyo diseño relacione la interpretación de la cosmovisión; según, las investigaciones realizadas en el trabajo rural participativo del lugar de estudio. La recopilación de información fue fundamental para el desarrollo del equipamiento ya que gracias a esta surgieron diferentes preguntas y una serie de posibles respuestas hacia las mismas, ya fueran mediante espacios flexibles que permitan a la comunidad apropiarse de los espacios comunitarios o de ciertos edificios diseñados con un fin productivo.
