descriptive scope and within the main findings it was possible to determine that a large part of
these children are people who demonstrate their Wayúunaiki language, because it is observed that
50% of children and young people still retain the essence of speech, which which is reflected in
daily life, in games, spaces shared with family, friends, daily conversations, despite interacting
and knowing the western world, maintains the essence of the Wayúunaiki language, but which are
not reinforced within the nucleus family. Likewise, based on these results, the author made some
recommendations that would serve to reinforce the cultural identity of children within educational
institutions |

Likewise, based on these results, the author made some recommendations that would serve to reinforce the cultural identity of children within educational institutions En los últimos años el tema de identidad cultural ha cobrado una gran importancia en el campo de la educación, en este caso, el wayúunaiki como lengua materna se constituye en un elemento que hace parte de la identidad de esta cultura, es por ello que el presente estudio tuvo por objetivo comparar las diferencias de la trasmisión y el desarrollo del uso del idioma wayúunaiki dentro del aula de la institución educativa Normal Superior Indígena y la institución educativa Alfonso López Pumarejo del municipio de Uribia en el departamento de la Guajira. La investigación tuvo un alcance descriptivo y dentro de los principales hallazgos se pudo determinar que gran parte de estos niños son personas que demuestran su lenguaje Wayúunaiki, debido a que se observa que un 50% de niños y jóvenes aún conservan la esencia del habla, lo cual se ve reflejado en la vida cotidiana, en los juegos, los espacios compartidos en familia, amigos, las conversaciones diarias, a pesar de interactuar y conocer del mundo occidental, mantiene la esencia del idioma wayúunaiki, pero que no son reforzadas dentro del núcleo familiar. Así mismo, basados en estos resultados, la autora realizó unas recomendaciones que servirían para reforzar la identidad cultural de los niños al interior de las instituciones educativas.
