For this bibliographic review, we worked under a qualitative approach, in a documentarytype study, where the information that was acquired came from the consultation of documents, on the other hand, reference was made to the instrument used where the literary review was systematized La presente investigación tiene como tema central el manejo del estrés del cuidador de pacientes con demencia, teniendo en cuenta que la sobrecarga, se define como el resultado de combinaciones de trabajo físico, emocional y restricciones sociales, esto hace referencia a un estado psicológico que surge al cuidar un enfermo. Como objetivo se planteó identificar el manejo del estrés en los cuidadores de pacientes con demencia, mediante una revisión documental.
