description	The present documentary review investigation seeks to answer the following research question: What is the support provided from the health field to family caregivers of patients with Alzheimer's in Colombia? next general objective To describe the self-care practices carried out by informal family caregivers of Alzheimer's patients and what support is provided to them from the health systems in Latin America, by means of a documentary review. In the understanding that this disease in Colombia according to the figures of the Ministry of Health is increasing. This descriptive or informative and qualitative documentary research focuses on clinical and health psychology. The search engines used were Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet, prioritizing research of high scientific diffusion, the categories used for the search were Alzheimer and Family, where 52 articles were consulted, of which 35 are used for the present research and the rest were discarded for not meeting the inclusion requirements, the results allowed establishing that there is a strong tendency to assume this issue from clinical psychology understanding this as a problem not only of mental health but also as something psychosocial and that this is the trend at the level of studies .

La presente investigación de revisión documental busca dar respuesta a la siguiente pregunta de investigación: ¿Cuál es el apoyo que se brinda desde el campo de la salud, a los cuidadores familiares de pacientes con alzhéimer en Colombia?, para ello se plantea el desarrollo del siguiente objetivo general Describir las prácticas de autocuidado que realizan los familiares cuidadores informales de pacientes con Alzheimer y cuál es el apoyo que se les brinda desde los sistemas de salud, en Latinoamérica, por medio de una revisión documental. En el entendido que esta enfermedad en Colombia de acuerdo con las cifras del Ministerio de Salud va en aumento. La presente investigación documental de tipo descriptiva o informativa y cualitativa, esta se centra con la línea en psicología clínica y de la salud. Los buscadores utilizados fueron Scielo, Redalyc, Dialnet, priorizando investigaciones de alta difusión científica, las categorías utilizadas para la búsqueda fueron Alzheimer y Familia, donde se consultaron 52 artículos, de los cuales se utilizan para la presente investigación 35 y se descartaron los restantes por no cumplir con los requisitos de inclusión, los resultados permitieron establecer que hay una fuerte tendencia asumir este tema desde la psicología clínica entendiendo esto como un problema no solo de salud mental sino también como algo psicosocial y que esa es la tendencia a nivel de los estudios.
