To achieve this, some tools must be used to reach that goal, specifically, associative models, which could support improvement programs in connection with the ultimate objective to increase productivity and competitiveness of Mipymes (micro, small and medium enterprises) belonging to that sector and are domiciled in the city of Barranquilla and its metropolitan area.
Its development consists of an introduction in which is expressed where the study was conducted, which models were applied and how many Mipymes participated in the sample.
Subsequently, an analysis of the obtained results from surveys applied to the SENA as training center that could help support these programs due to its resources, and the application of another survey to 17 Mipymes of the sector, where the following six levels were identified: business management, human talent, training, infrastructure, continuous improvement and shopping links.
Finally, could be concluded that the results of field work suggests the implementation of associative models applied in the Mipymes sector of wood and furniture in the metropolitan area of Barranquilla, as a necessary tool to improve and increase their productivity and competitiveness compared with other companies in the region. |

El siguiente artículo está basado en los resultados obtenidos en el proyecto de investigación: “Diseño de un modelo de vinculación cooperativa SENA - Sector industrial – Gobierno - Universidad”. Fundamentalmente se trata de buscar la pertinencia entre las necesidades que tiene el sector de madera y muebles en la ciudad de Barranquilla, sus alianzas con las universidades y el estado, para obtener una mejor y mayor productividad, para ser más competitivo en los mercados regionales, nacionales e internacionales. Para ello, se tienen que utilizar las herramientas idóneas para llegar a esa meta; específicamente, los modelos asociativos, que pudieran apoyar programas de mejora en relación con el objetivo final que es el aumento en la productividad y competitividad de las Mipymes (micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas) que pertenecen a ese sector y que tienen su domicilio en la ciudad de Barranquilla y su área metropolitana. Su desarrollo consta de una introducción al tema en la que se expresa donde se realizó el estudio, que modelos se aplicaron y cuántas Mipymes participaron en la muestra. Posteriormente se hace un análisis de los resultados obtenidos de la realización de una encuesta aplicada al SENA como centro de formación que puede ayudar y apoyar estos programas debido a los recursos que posee y a la aplicación de otra encuesta a 17 Mipymes del sector, en donde se determinan los siguientes seis niveles: gestión del negocio, talento humano, capacitación, infraestructura, mejoramiento continuo y centros de enlaces.
