Summary: | small animals treated at the clinic of the Antonio Nariño University, Bogotá (Colombia) between 2017 and 2019. 32 clinical histories were reviewed in which different variables were analyzed as species, age group (puppies, adults and geriatrics) sex, race, neurological signs, presumptive diagnosis, diagnostic tests, observations, treatment and evolution, of which only species, age group, sex, race were taken into account for the study and presumptive diagnosis. Neurological pathologies were classified according to their origin (congenital or acquired) with which the percentage of presentation of each one was determined. Acquired encephalic diseases were the most frequent (56.2%), with epilepsies standing out, followed by acquired spinal diseases (40.6%) with a greater presentation of disc extrusions and finally congenital encephalic diseases (3.1%) with a only case of cerebellar hypoplasia. |
