Summary: | For the execution of this project, several field visits were made, in the first one a rapprochement was established with the members of the board of directors of the Vancouver la Rambla Veredal aqueduct of the municipality of San Antonio del Tequendama.
This project involves the design and development of a Pelton wheel in order to generate electricity since the site does not have a continuous electrical supply, its derivation is not viable because it does not have a connection point and measurement legalized by the company responsible for energy supply, thus being able to power various water purification equipment that the aqueduct has contemplated.
A simulation was carried out on a test bench, measurements were taken of the entire generation system to determine if it was meeting the objectives set out and to provide a solution to the problems present in the region. The simulation carried out shows the optimal functioning of the generation system.
The purpose of this project is to be able to contribute significantly to the well-being of the community of the Vancouver La Rambla Veredal Aqueduct, in the municipality of San Antonio del Tequendama, and its 95 users, who will benefit from the installation of the hydro-generating equipment, which will offer the possibility of installing treatment plants. |
