Based on the review and analysis of research works conducted by different entities that provide information regarding the topic, the financial actions of the companies from Boyacá is understood, thus it is possible to contribute to set clear objectives with a long-term scope, such as maximizing their value, optimizing capital and operating financing needs. Among the works found, it is detected and analyzed that SMEs in this region have been managed with relative ineffectiveness in the financial aspect, since the absence of professional criteria is relevant and failing that, ancestral and/or traditional family knowledge emerge forgetting about the importance of analysis in accounting, economic and financial aspects; in such a way that there is an incidence in the management of the same business organizations, which is reflected in aspects such as competitiveness and productivity. |

En la realización del presente artículo, cuyo objetivo está encaminado en plantear unas reflexiones sobre la incidencia de las finanzas para tomar decisiones en empresas pymes del sector industrial en el área geográfica objeto en esta investigación como lo es el departamento de Boyacá. Basados en la revisión y análisis de trabajos de investigación realizados por diferentes entidades que aportan información sobre el tema, se logra comprender el actuar financiero de las empresas boyacenses y de esta manera contribuir a que los objetivos sean claramente establecidos con un alcance de largo plazo como lo son el de maximizar su valor, optimización del capital y necesidad operativa de financiación. Dentro de los trabajos encontrados se detecta y se analiza que las Pymes de esta región, han sido manejadas con relativa ineficacia en el aspecto financiero, pues es relevante la ausencia de criterios profesionales y en su defecto afloran conocimientos ancestrales y/o tradicionales de familia dejando de lado la importancia del análisis en aspectos contables, económicos y financieros; de tal forma que existe una incidencia en el manejo de las mismas organizaciones empresariales, que se refleja en aspectos como la competitividad y productividad.
