Summary: | The main objective of this research is to analyze the perception of psychological domestic
violence in women victims of violence who are part of a foundation located in the district of
Sevilla, Zona Bananera, in the department of Magdalena. This study seeks to thoroughly explore
the experiences, emotions and perceptions that women associated with this phenomenon have
about psychological domestic violence and the repercussions it has on their emotional, social and
family well-being. Regarding psychological domestic violence, it is known that this problem has
gained relevance in recent years, manifesting itself in different contexts and generating an
unfavorable environment that impacts the integral development of the victims (Gallego, 2020).
The methodological approach of the research is qualitative and descriptive, since it seeks
to understand the individual experiences and the meanings that women give to their experiences
within the context of psychological violence. Through semi-structured interviews, focus groups,
body mapping, life line, observation and documentary analysis, data is collected on the dynamics
of violence and the emotional and psychological responses that women experience.
Research shows that many women see psychological violence as something normal,
influenced by cultural norms. This generates feelings of guilt and affects their self-esteem, limiting
their empowerment. Recurrent emotions such as fear, sadness and anxiety make it difficult for
them to visualize a future without violence. |
