description	This thesis aims to design a prototype agrotourism farm in Llanitos village, Rivera, Huila, integrating cacao production with tourism activities to stimulate local economic development and improve the quality of life for its inhabitants. Historically recognized for its cacao production, Rivera has experienced a decline in agricultural competitiveness due to several factors, including land-use changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which prompted many cacao farms to shift to recreational tourism. This project seeks to reverse that trend by strengthening farmers' capacities through the implementation of the OVOP (One Village, One Product) methodology, which has proven successful in other regions of the world and focuses on the valorization of local products in Colombia. The agrotourism farm has the potential to diversify the community's income sources by combining the tourist experience with agricultural production, capitalizing on the growing interest in rural tourism and the demand for organic and sustainable products. This proposal aims not only to revitalize cacao production in Rivera but also to contribute to environmental preservation, poverty reduction, and the inclusion of vulnerable groups, such as women and young people. This approach aligns with initiatives such as The Cocoa Effect, an international project implemented in Huila that aims to improve productivity, strengthen cacao value chains, and promote long-term economic and environmental sustainability. The implementation of this model could position Rivera as a reference for high-quality cacao production and sustainable tourism development, attracting both national and international investment and fostering territorial governance based on inclusive and sustainable development models.

Este trabajo de grado tiene como objetivo diseñar un prototipo de granja agroturística en la vereda Llanitos, municipio de Rivera, Huila, integrando la producción de cacao con actividades turísticas para dinamizar el desarrollo económico local y mejorar la calidad de vida de sus habitantes. Rivera, históricamente reconocido por su producción de cacao, ha visto una disminución en la competitividad agrícola debido a varios factores, entre ellos, el cambio en el uso del suelo a raíz de la pandemia de COVID-19, lo cual provocó que muchas fincas productoras de cacao se transformaran en fincas recreativas orientadas al turismo. Este proyecto busca revertir esa tendencia, fortaleciendo las capacidades de los agricultores mediante la implementación de la metodología OVOP (One Village, One Product), que ha demostrado ser exitosa en otras regiones del mundo y que en Colombia se enfoca en la valorización de productos locales. La granja agroturística tiene el potencial de diversificar las fuentes de ingreso de la comunidad al combinar la experiencia turística con la producción agrícola, aprovechando el creciente interés en el turismo rural y la demanda de productos orgánicos y sostenibles. Se espera que la propuesta no solo revitalice la producción de cacao en Rivera, sino que también contribuya a la preservación del medio ambiente, la reducción de la pobreza, y la inclusión de grupos vulnerables, como mujeres y jóvenes.
