Summary: | The objective of this research was to propose a strategy to strengthen the level of
vocational maturity of 11th grade students of an educational institution in Riohacha, La
Guajira. It is inserted in the research line related to School and complex system. Because it
seeks to identify vocational maturity and its importance in the personal development of
11th grade students. All this infers and is reflected in the continuous life process of the life
cycle. The methodology of this research was based on the quantitative, using techniques to
measure the categories under study such as the questionnaire and the content analysis
technique, for a population of 96 students in grade 11, to whom the Busot vocational
maturity inventory was applied, which has 60 items, with the following dimensions:
Planning, Exploration, information, Decision-making and Realism. The results showed that
42% of the young people showed maturity scores between high and very high; however, it
is recognized that 54% have medium levels and 4% have low levels, where those with
medium and low levels highlight the importance of an intervention. |
