climate and the behavior of these reptiles has modified them (Anguiar, 2015). |

Este trabajo tiene como objetivo investigar las causas de la amenaza de extinción de la rana dorada (Phyllobates terribilis) y analizar cuáles de ellas están descritas en la literatura científica. En donde, es una especie nativa de Colombia donde según la UICN está categorizada como peligro Crítico (CR). Por otro lado, el libro rojo de los anfibios en Colombia (Castro - Herrera, 2004) y la resolución 0192 de 2014 del ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo sostenible ha hecho varios estudios de esta población en vía libre en donde aún no hay una estimación exacta de la población al 2024 y las técnicas utilizadas como Captura-Marcaje-Recaptura (CMR) (Loaiza-Piedrahíta et al., 2016).
