Description
Summary:: The initiative aimed to evaluate the feasibility of creating a nonprofit social consulting office at the Pereira campus of the Antonio Nariño University, designed to benefit the residents of Pereira and its surrounding areas. This office would provide consulting services in construction, focusing on structural aspects, quantity estimation, and administrative management. The project is intended to involve students from the fifth to the tenth semester of the civil engineering program, enabling them to apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts under the supervision of faculty members. This approach aims to strengthen their professional training and foster their social commitment. The office would be located within the facilities of the Antonio Nariño University Pereira campus and would serve both the university community and external individuals. To assess the feasibility of this proposal, surveys were conducted among university members and external participants to evaluate their perception and acceptance of the initiative. Additionally, meetings were held with the university's administration to analyze the technical and logistical requirements for its implementation. The feasibility analysis also considered the costs associated with establishing and operating the office, taking into account its nonprofit nature. Through a descriptive methodology, the necessary conditions were assessed to ensure the project's sustainability. In conclusion, this initiative aims not only to enhance the practical training of students but also to positively impact the community, solidifying the university’s role as an agent of development and social commitment.
