| Sumario: | This master document is made up of 6 chapters, which aim to present how the structural
evaluation addresses an idea of the current state of the Universidad Antonio Nariño, Pereira.
Based on a visual inspection carried out with the FEMA 154 form of the conditions of the
structure where it was determined which type of pathology affects, where, with a complement of
injury sheets defined the most critical areas of the structure.
The existing information of the construction of the building was collected and its concordance
with the original structure was checked; the verification of the minimum parameters of the
Colombian Regulation of Earthquake Resistant Construction NSR-10, which gave a clear and
precise idea of their response to an earthquake. The methodology applied and statistical analysis
of data and results obtained through the developed trials are also presented, with which the
software modeling of the structure was carried out, defining the seismic and structural
vulnerability of the building, where it is evident that the structure presents overeffort in some
columns and the requirements of derivations show an index of flexibility with non-compliance to
the norm. Having said this, the analysis is presented and, according to the results obtained, a
proposal for strengthening or maintaining the system is made with its respective
