Summary: | Abstract: Quality control of construction materials is essential to ensure that buildings meet the
necessary standards of quality, performance, and safety. This control process should begin during
the project planning stage, considering specific requirements of the construction scheme and
factors such as location, type of structure, and environmental conditions. During the execution of
the work, the focus is on reviewing quality certificates, conducting laboratory tests, and performing
visual inspections to prevent defects and risks that could affect the safety and durability of the
construction.
Almetro, a company based in Pereira, aims to strengthen its continuous improvement processes in
its architecture and engineering projects. Recognizing the importance of ensuring the quality of
materials in a context of growth and competition in the construction industry, the company's
objective is the standardization of procedures for conducting material tests in its works. The
research focuses on identifying opportunities for improvement in Almetro's material quality
control procedures. A proposal for improvement is being developed, focusing on ensuring
compliance with national technical regulations for obtaining quality materials, with the aim of
increasing customer satisfaction and strengthening trust in the company.
