A descriptive quantitative study was carried out where clinical histories were collected, providing us with the necessary information to contemplate the number of patients who arrived with this pathology and the treatment they were being administered. They found that wet AMD has a higher prevalence than dry AMD and that it is managed with daily oral multivitamins.

Con este trabajo se busca tener una idea más clara y concisa sobre la DMAE teniendo en cuenta los siguientes factores: género, edad, tipo de DMAE, afectación ocular, exámenes complementarios y tratamiento. Como objetivo se tuvo identificar el diagnóstico y manejo de pacientes con DMAE. Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo descriptivo dónde se hizo recolección de historias clínicas, proporcionándonos la información necesaria para contemplar la cantidad de pacientes que llegaban con esta patología y el tratamiento que se les estaba administrando. Encontrando que el tipo DMAE tipo húmeda tiene mayor prevalencia que la DMAE tipo seca y le dan un manejo con multivitamínicos vía oral diario.
