Description
Summary:English:Topic: Urban-architectural project Line of research: Art, design and society In Colombia, in the city of Villavicencio, there is a chronic insufficiency in terms of public space infrastructure. The lack of this infrastructure, characteristic of inclusive public spaces, is a supposedly complex problem. To solve it, it is necessary to ensure that these spaces can be accessible to anyone, of any age, in any range of capacity and finally, adopted within an existing cultural context. This requires a design that takes into account accessibility, programming that takes into account the diversity of the population and guarantees safety and respect. It is necessary to work together to break barriers and thus develop spaces suitable for the use of all. The creation of urban spaces suitable for health and well-being remains a challenge to this day in Villavicencio-Colombia. In the inspection and/or planning of the areas of the urban environment, the local development plan, in line with the project itself, has stated that the ideal area is something above 10 m2 up to 15 m2 per inhabitant, these standards cited by the WHO are not met. The focus of this task is to analyze and design an architectural project that can articulate these spaces in order to generate healthy spaces and social interaction. In order to overcome the spaces of health and well-being of the city, the main objective is to strengthen cultural identity and social inclusion. To do this, the development plans of the Villavicencio municipality, 2020-2023, have been consulted, in order to collect data from real sources. Thus, the city has been analyzed to propose a commitment to urban and social renewal. Concepts such as urban health, social inclusion, inclusive public space, and cultural identity were reviewed. In this line, the decision was made to implement a strategy of "articulated living units" in coherence with the Sustainable Development Agenda, specifically, with objectives 3, 4 and 11. With the proposal of the Grapes strategy, the creation of multipurpose spaces was proposed, sparse in elements but with a high potential for the population to carry out recreational, sporting, cultural, and knowledge-based activities in communes 1, 2 and 3 of Villavicencio, which would allow strengthening the quality of life and health, but also the urban infrastructure. In short, it is about correcting current deficiencies with a globalizing vision, to commit to an urban development where coexistence is more sociable and more participatory. "The incorporation of public space is not only a question of architectural design, but also a question of social justice and equity." (Setha Low)
