public spaces and the lack of cultural identity. This is how, based on field research and the
collection of quantitative and qualitative data, it is intended to recognize these causes in order
to provide solutions so that the inhabitants and tourists of the municipality satisfy their needs
and aspirations. For this reason, actions related to aesthetic, architectural, ornamental and
artistic purposes will be generated that allow the recognition and appropriation of public
space, contributing to the cultural identity of locals and visitors and also generating selfsustainability, thereby energizing the municipality. |

La falta de apropiación del espacio público y la falta de imagen urbana son problemas que están afectando desfavorablemente al municipio de Palermo-Huila, Colombia. La falta de apropiación del espacio público puede deberse a diversos factores como la falta de actividades y eventos que atraigan a la gente, la falta de mobiliario urbano, la falta de seguridad, entre otros. De otra parte, la falta de imagen urbana puede deberse a la falta de mantenimiento y cuidado de los espacios públicos y a la falta de identidad cultural. Es así como, a partir de la investigación de campo y de la recopilación de datos cuantitativos y cualitativos, se pretende reconocer estas causales con el fin de darles solución para que los habitantes y turistas del municipio satisfagan sus necesidades y aspiraciones. Por tal razón se generarán actuaciones relacionadas con fines estéticos, arquitectónicos, ornamentales y artísticos que permitan el reconocimiento y la apropiación del espacio público, contribuyendo a la identidad cultural de propios y visitantes y generando además una auto-sostenibilidad, dinamizando con ello al municipio.
