| Summary: | The lack of appropriation of public space and the lack of urban image are problems that are
unfavorably affecting the municipality of Palermo-Huila, Colombia. The lack of
appropriation of public space can be due to various factors such as the lack of activities and
events that attract people, the lack of street furniture, the lack of security, among others. On
the other hand, the lack of urban image may be due to the lack of maintenance and care of
public spaces and the lack of cultural identity. This is how, based on field research and the
collection of quantitative and qualitative data, it is intended to recognize these causes in order
to provide solutions so that the inhabitants and tourists of the municipality satisfy their needs
and aspirations. For this reason, actions related to aesthetic, architectural, ornamental and
artistic purposes will be generated that allow the recognition and appropriation of public
space, contributing to the cultural identity of locals and visitors and also generating selfsustainability, thereby energizing the municipality. |
