Description
Summary:This project focuses on addressing the deficient urban planning in Neiva, which has resulted in disjointed growth without a focus on the conservation and sustainability of its rivers. This situation slows down the city's development and deteriorates both the natural and urban environment. In particular, the project examines the critical situation in comuna 6, where the lack of environmental public spaces and municipal inaction have led to significant deterioration of conservation areas, especially around the Magdalena River. The general objective of the project is to formulate a partial development plan that serves as a management tool for the territorial planning of comuna 6. This plan seeks to integrate the urban environment with the riparian zones, having the Magdalena River as its main water body, promoting sustainability and ecological revitalization. The justification for the project is based on the need to offer new alternatives for the integral development of Neiva, which has experienced rapid urbanization without adequate planning. In this context, the intervention in comuna 6 will not only connect the Magdalena River with the city and other ecological and historical attractions but also project a space where recreation, tourism, local commerce, and social integration can sustainably come together.
