The objective of this systematic review is to identify the importance of family support in strengthening reading skills in elementary school students. Through a documentary review with a systematic design, a search was carried out in specialized databases and 18 research studies were selected through inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results obtained compile the pedagogical strategies implemented to encourage students and their families to read in order to guarantee significant progress in academic achievement. From the studies analyzed, it was concluded that the participants have implemented various strategies that have contributed significantly to the strengthening of reading skills. Therefore, it is necessary to continue deepening in the design of specialized material and the exploration of physical, technological and audiovisual resources that contribute to continue fostering the reading habit in this population. |

El artículo presenta un panorama sobre el rol que desempeñan las familias en la motivación a la lectura de los estudiantes y su incidencia en contextos escolares u otros escenarios de aprendizaje. El objetivo de esta revisión sistemática es identificar la trascendencia del acompañamiento familiar en el fortalecimiento de la habilidad lectora en estudiantes de básica secundaria. A través de una revisión documental con diseño sistemático, se realizó una búsqueda en bases de datos especializadas y se seleccionaron a través de criterios de inclusión y exclusión, 18 investigaciones. Los resultados obtenidos recopilan las estrategias pedagógicas implementadas para la animación a la lectura en estudiantes y sus familias, para garantizar avances significativos en el logro académico. De los estudios analizados se concluyó que los participantes han implementado diversas estrategias que han contribuido significativamente en el fortalecimiento de la habilidad lectora.
