For this, the diagnosis was made by applying the EEHSA instrument (Social Skills Assessment Scale for Adolescents). It was found that both men and women have high initial basic skills, however, in skills to deal with stress and planning skills and decision making their performance was low. This suggests that students have abilities to follow instructions, help others, thank or feel motivated for various activities. However, they perceive themselves as having difficulties to control themselves, face mockery, avoid fights and problems.

En la actualidad los estudiantes requieren de un elaborado repertorio de habilidades sociales para superar cualquier dificultad y generar conductas más adaptativas en la interacción social. Este trabajo busca determinar el estado de las habilidades sociales en adolescentes del Liceo Campestre Fray Arturo Ayala en Paipa-Boyacá. Para ello se realizó la evaluación mediante la aplicación del instrumento EEHSA (Escala de evaluación de habilidades sociales para adolescentes). Se encontró que tanto los hombres como las mujeres poseen altas habilidades iniciales básicas, sin embargo, en habilidades para afrontar el estrés y habilidades de planeación y toma de decisiones su desempeño fue bajo. Lo anterior sugiere que los estudiantes tienen habilidades para seguir instrucciones, ayudar a otros, agradecer o sentirse motivados para diversas actividades.
