| Summary: | The department of Meta, located in the Colombian Orinoquía region, stands out for its wide territorial extension that promotes key sectors of the national economy such as agriculture, agroindustry, mining, ecotourism and commerce. In recent years, it has experienced notable growth in the production and export of soybean oil, becoming an important economic engine that generates employment and promotes rural development in Colombia. Furthermore, starting in 2019, Meta diversified its export basket to stand out not only for oil extraction, but also for the supply of agricultural products, which has increased its participation in national exports.
