Algunos métodos para guitarra proponen el estudio de la técnica a través del planteamiento de ejercicios mecánicos, escritos en forma secuencial y que deben ser ejecutados repetitivamente con el fin de lograr un objetivo motor que permita el mejor desempeño de las manos en la interpretación de una pieza musical.
