Este artículo presenta una síntesis del estado del arte sobre una investigación acerca de los sistemas de evaluación en las instituciones técnicas y tecnológicas en Colombia, a partir de aspectos como la normatividad vigente en materia de educación superior nacional, los documentos institucionales y datos estadísticos del Sistema Nacional de Información de Educación Superior (en adelante, SNIES), el Consejo Nacional de Acreditación y el Ministerio de Educación Nacional. El estudio se desarrolla bajo un enfoque descriptivo y propositivo.
