Este artículo analiza las razones de que gran parte del arte contemporáneo siga siendo una experiencia no asimilada aún en nuestros días, centrándose en el estudio de los factores que potencialmente determinan la experiencia estética en nuestra época, planteando una reflexión que relaciona áreas de conocimientos culturales, artísticos e históricos, con vistas a ofrecer un trabajo que profundice en los procesos creativos del arte contemporáneo y en el origen del desapego entre arte contemporáneo y público.
