Artículo de revisión que aborda el tema de los Cerros Orientales de Bogotá en un período que abarca dos siglos (1810-2010), e incluye 255 trabajos escritos entre informes de consultorías de investigación y proyectos de gobierno, evaluación y seguimiento de organismos de control, tesis de grado y posgrado, correos y boletines, artículos científicos de revistas nacionales e internacionales, libros, material audiovisual y normativo. Los documentos se clasificaron en relación con cuatro campos de conocimiento: ciencias sociales, ciencias de la naturaleza, ciencias técnico-ambientales y conocimiento local. Se analizaron tres características de los documentos revisados: i) nivel de aplicación (básica, aplicada, con seguimiento y evaluación), ii) tipo de conocimiento (disciplinar, multidisciplinar, extradisciplinar); y iii) grado de colaboración (un investigador, dos investigadores, equipo de investigación).
