The results show variations in the electric variables that can be used to establish a program for reviewing the operational status of the surge arrester in electric networks. |

Un estudio experimental es llevado a cabo para determinar variaciones en las características eléctricas de los descargadores de ZnO ante el fenómeno de degradación. Las variables eléctricas examinadas son el coeficiente de no linealidad del descargador y la potencia disipada. Existen otros métodos para determinar el estado de funcionamiento de un descargador como por ejemplo el estudio de la componente resistiva de la corriente de fuga en A.C., que en todo caso no será tenido en cuenta en el presente trabajo. Los ensayos de laboratorio se realizaron acelerando el proceso de degradación mediante aplicación de energía a las muestras y simulando un efecto degradatorio mediante la aplicación de calor.
