Este trabajo de grado se relata la historia de vida de la maestra Jeinny Leticia Mena Moreno, se realiza una recopilación de momentos y vivencias en la vida artística de la maestra desde su niñez, haciendo énfasis en tres momentos relevantes en su vida para su crecimiento como maestra artista como lo son: su formación en la danza afro, su metodología para enseñar danza afro y la gestión y circulación de los productos artísticos, desde su experiencia empírica hasta su formación profesional como Maestra Artista para la conformación de la fundación cultural Zarakua. Se reconocen los momentos significativos en su trayecto artístico y pedagógico y se resaltan los aportes que como bailarina y maestra ha realizado en la danza y en la comunidad afro. La información fue recolectada a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas a familiares, bailarines y músicos de la fundación y se fundamentó por medio de diferentes documentos académicos.
