Summary: | This degree project narrates the life trajectory of Nadia Camila Vanegas Valencia in six stages around her experiences of training in circus, as a creative scenic artist and teacher of Social Circus. The categories of this work are student, performing artist and teacher, using life history as a qualitative research technique as a biographical method that is complemented with secondary information related to the history of the circus, circus teaching and social circus. The
analysis of the text highlights the trajectory and importance of the social circus in Colombia and Latin America, being the social circus a valid and current proposal for art-based social intervention, which positions the importance of the circus not only for its contributions to art and culture, but also as a tool for individual and collective transformation. |
