Considerando la depresión posparto como un problema nacional que afecta particularmente a madres con poco apoyo social, este estudio busca proporcionar una comprensión más profunda de este fenómeno. La pregunta de investigación planteada es: ¿Cuál es la relación entre el apoyo social y los síntomas de depresión posparto en mujeres puérperas de Riohacha? El marco teórico aborda el Ciclo Vital Adultez, se destaca que, en la etapa adulta, el apoyo social desempeña un papel crucial en el bienestar emocional y físico, especialmente durante el embarazo y el posparto.
